I am pleased to present the official site of ITP FM 92.40, the role and work of Islamabad Traffic Police, which is responsible for ensuring smooth flow of traffic besides enforcement and Road Safety Education.
The period under review remained a very prolific as well as challenging for the ITP as an organization. During this period, in addition to the routine responsibilities of regulating the flow of traffic, ITP has significantly contributed in the field of Road Safety Education. This has not only been acknowledged and acclaimed by almost all sections of the society but has also molded the public perception about police.
Despite these achievements, there still exists a lot of room for improvement. In order to improve capacity and capability, a comprehensive survey has been conducted in the light of which organizational restructuring like dividing Traffic Divisions into Sections and Sub-sections and assigning areas of jurisdiction to the officers has been accomplished.
I would also like to appreciate the substantial progress that has been made in developing and enhancing the management of financial resources by Police Headquarters. New processes and practices have been introduced in order to reassure that public money is used efficiently and will help in an improved service delivery. I would also like to acknowledge the professionalism and commitment of the officers of ITP and the pride they feel in service. I thank everyone in the organization for their personal contributions to the smooth running and efficiency of the organization during the last year and hope that they will continue to exert more to ensure effective and efficient policing for the whole community of Islamabad.
